ENVIRONS~
At Hale Pomaika'i, we don't just give lip service to sustainability. To do our part in being eco-friendly, there is solar hot water, as well as a solar electric grid-tie system.
We are delighted to share with our guests whatever is in season from the edible landscaping, which includes lychee, guava, avocado, pink lemon, calamanci, valencia orange, banana, pineapple, sweet potato, and much more!
Right next door, we have a small organic farm lot, where we utilize Korean Natural Farming methods. Our friendly mixed flocks of chickens love to share their healthy farm-fresh eggs, too! Let us know if you'd like a farm tour while you're staying with us.
There are several varieties of palms, native ferns, and lovely tropical flowers scattered throughout the grassy fenced-in property. We've landscaped around the beautiful ohia to preserve these native trees, and to create secluded areas for your enjoyment.
Owner's studio is right next door, but with a completely separate entrance to ensure our guests' privacy.
